Can we have a taste test to choose our entrees?

We include two complimentary Taste Tests from our wedding menu when you book with us. Any additional people can come, however, we do charge $25.00 each for their meals, which is charged to your final wedding bill. If you would like to leave a gratuity for your server, you are welcome to do so on the day of the tasting.

Taste Tests are scheduled on Wednesday afternoons at lunchtime. You would select 2-3 salads and 2-3 entrees to taste. You will also have the opportunity to taste the wines that will be served at your wedding as well as a delicious dessert to complete your meal from one of the bakeries that we use. Unfortunately, we are not able to recreate hors d'oeuvres or soup for such small groups.

Is there anyone else we should tip?

Gratuity for all service personnel is included in your per person package price. However, it is usual and customary to tip the banquet captains ($100 each), maitre ‘d ($200) and coordinators ($200). If you would like to acknowledge their exceptional service, it is always appreciated.


I want to give my guests an entrée choice but I don’t want to put a menu selection on the reply card of the invitation, what can I do?

We do require a count for each entrée the week before your event. If you choose not to include an entrée choice on your reply card, one of our duet entrees is an alternative option.

How many tables fit in the ballroom?

The maximum number of tables for our ballroom is 20 - including a sweetheart table.

I have one table with 11 guests and would like to use the charger plates, is this possible?

Unfortunately, if you would like to use our charger plates, ALL tables must be 10 people or less. We suggest no less than 8 and no more than 12 people per table.

Does The Down Town Club provide votive candles on the tables?

We do provide four flameless votive candles on each guest table. If you would like real flame votive candles we would be able to provide those for an additional charge. You are welcome to have your florist provide votives as well. All real flame candles must be in a container as we do not allow open flames anywhere in the Club.

What is the charge/meal options for children and my vendors?

Children under 12 years old are typically served Chicken Fingers and French Fries for $37.80 inclusive per child. Vendors (band, DJ, photographer, videographer) will be served a hot meal for $18.90 inclusive per person.
